$10 Wireless IP Webcam for Octoprint (Uses ESP32-CAM)
thingiverse
I created a $10 IP Camera that lets you use it for Octoprint or as a security camera instead of a wired USB camera, which has a limit on the number of webcams it can support due to its bandwidth constraints. This IP Camera doesn't have that limitation and works perfectly with Octoprint. I've got a complete how-to video showing how to get it running here https://youtu.be/6qiH1BRwUeA?sub_confirmation=1 It uses a $10 ESP-32 Cam development board, which operates wirelessly. You can find the source code to the firmware at https://www.makersmashup.com/downloads/9f1c1e46-5636-47b1-b3cc-13178671620f The ESP32-CAM is available at https://amzn.to/32z7O0L You'll also need a Serial to USB Converter, which can be found at https://amzn.to/2pFbPCs A 5v Buck Converter is necessary as well and can be purchased at https://amzn.to/2J51Htk A Micro USB Breakout can be obtained from https://amzn.to/2NabW0X You'll need a Crimping Tool & Connectors, which are available at https://amzn.to/2MwPxvt Jumper Wires & Breadboard can be purchased at https://amzn.to/35TpR3J If you enjoy this project consider subscribing to my YouTube Channel to help support future work like this.
