10 Tooth XL Pulley
thingiverse
This is a modified pulley from the McMaster Carr website that has been upgraded with larger teeth to fit a servo stepper motor with an 8mm shaft. The shaft diameter was adjusted to accommodate this change, and I'm confident in its ability to withstand the torque generated by the motor. I'll be sure to provide an update once it's installed. UPDATE: After conducting initial tests on the first version of the pulley, I encountered some issues. The teeth were too large, causing the belt to skip a tooth, which compromised the overall performance. To rectify this problem, I reverted back to the original size for the teeth, and as you can see in the video attached, it works much more effectively. UPDATE 2: Following extensive use of my machine and subsequent testing, one of the pulleys began to slip due to inadequate holding power from the set screw. To address this issue, I created a new version with a flat side designed to provide better grip. Additionally, I shortened the pulley slightly for improved stability and performance.
