10" Practice Drum Pad (eDrum)

After looking at all the practice pads available, none of my liking were within my price range. So after some thinking I came up with this design that allows you to mount a 10" mesh drum head to the shell and tighten it with the rim using the 8 lugs on the sides of the shell, just like most real drums. The pad consists of 2 parts (3 with the future support added); -The rim -The shell (-The shell with mounting holes available for the future eDrum update) You will need to print 4 of each (or 2 of each shell type to make ready for the future eDrum update) In the future I will make a mount in the center to attach a piezo sensor and 6.3mm jack to make the pad an electric drum pad. Contact me on my Etsy store and I'll be happy to print it for you: https://www.etsy.com/shop/XDr4g0nX3DPrinting Print Settings Printer Brand RepRap Printer GEEETech i3 Pro B Metal Rafts Doesn't Matter Supports Yes Resolution 0.2mm Infill 50% for the rim, 25% for the shell Notes I have used a 50% infill for the rim to make it more resistant against accidental rim shots/clicks, even more will increase the strength of the rim and make it more durable. For the shell I used a 25% infill to make it still fairly light and because it doesn't have to be in contact with the sticks during play. Post-Printing Finishing After printing, remove the supports from the underside of the rim parts and from the inside of the lugs on the shell parts. After removing the support I advise you to sand the upper edge of the shell to make sure the plastic doesn't rip the head. Assembly To assemble the rim you will need 4x M4x20mm bolts and 4x M4 nuts. To assemble the shell you will need 4x M4x20mm bolts, 4x M4x35mm bolts and 8x M4 nuts. And lastly to actually mount the head (can be mesh or an actual head) you will need 8x M4x35mm bolts and 8x M4 nuts. Don't forget to tighten the head in a cross pattern to not over tighten it and rip it.
