10-hook mechanical punch card reader
thingiverse
Introducing an upgraded 10-hook mechanical punch card reader, featuring a combination of 1/4" springs, 693 bearings, brass rods, M3 nuts/bolts, and is predominantly 3D-printed on a Thing-o-Matic. By turning the crank, it reads the punch card (direction unimportant), lifting hooks at punched locations. Assemble the main frame first, then add hooks later. The 'back needle holder' should face upwards. Insert hooks by rotating back holder slightly, placing them on hook_pivot_support with hooks facing card cylinder. Attach 1/4" spring and insert into front holder. Secure M2 nuts with string around bolt and set-screw. The uncond_cylinder_catch advances after every read operation while cond_cylinder_catch and cylinder catch frame advance on condition fulfillment. Pair it with three of these: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:101068 for optimal functionality.
