10 Gallon Aquaponic Light Holder

This bracket assembly elevates and secures a dual bulb 2 ft fluorescent light above my 10 gallon aquaponics system. I've established a basic metal tube stand beneath the tank with vertical legs about 3/4 inch in diameter. It consists of 6 printed parts clamping onto two 5/8 inch diameter wood dowels. With three foot long dowels, I have roughly 1.5 ft of space above the tank for plant growth. The height can be adjusted by sliding the lower clips together and locking them down. If you wish to accommodate different sized dowels or stand diameters, feel free to modify the included STL file. Instructions: Print these parts: Top Clip Light BracketL Top Clip Light BracketR LowerWrapClip2 I printed my parts with 0.2mm layers and 100% infill using PLA material. I also utilized a Modified Printrbot Simple printer, X axis extension, first layer temperature at 215C, the rest at 212C, and a printing speed of 30 mm/s. Parts to purchase: 8 - M3 screws (40 mm length) 8-M3 washers 8-M3 hex or locking nuts 6-M5 screws (5 mm length) 2-5/8 inch diameter wood dowels (4 ft length) With all the parts printed, insert the M5 screws into the back of each bracket. Attach the parts as shown in the pictures, using two lower wrap clips on each dowel and one top clip light bracket per pair. Ensure the clips are straight on the dowel and equally spaced before tightening the M5 screws into the dowels. Slide the assembly onto the stand legs and use M3 screws, nuts, washers to tighten on the stand when it's at your desired hanging height. With everything secured in place, hang your light!
