Update 20 June Version 2.0 was released during a redesign, but I failed to add any downward angle to the pod. Version 2 has 10 degrees, as stated in the first description. I apologize to anyone who printed one of the earlier versions and had a poor flying experience. I added embossed text to indicate which version (servo size) the pod is. In summary: PowerPod_V2 is the original one-piece Pod for Micro Servos. PowerPod_V2_Split is the same, but split for smaller build areas. PowerPod_V2_9gServo is a one-piece PowerPod for 9gram Servos. PowerPod_V2_9gServo_Split is the same, but split for smaller build areas. Any other input is welcome! Let's see some builds and maidens! ** End Update ** Update 16 June I originally designed this pod for micro servos, but I had a request to design it for 9gram servos as well. An issue arose with the build area, so I split the design at the battery tray. In summary: PowerPod is the original one-piece Pod for Micro Servos. PowerPod_Split is the same, but split for smaller build areas. PowerPod_9gServo is a one-piece PowerPod for 9gram Servos. PowerPod_9gServo_Split is the same, but split for smaller build areas. Any other input is welcome! Let's see some builds and maidens! ** End Update ** After watching FliteTest's latest video, I finally tried this out. I've seen several examples on YouTube that others have done, so I thought I would put my spin on it. It had been on my "2Do" list for a while now. I designed this pod for my specific equipment: an "F" pack with a cheap FlySky receiver. Maybe you can jam yours in the spaces or modify the design (I can export it to DXF if there is interest). I fly it with a 1300 2S battery and get over 10 minutes of flight time if I play nice (around 8 minutes if I'm naughty). And oh, see the last photo for the effects of running a 3S on it (or at least for me!). A combination of their ideas (big motor/elevons for control) is used. There is about 5 degrees of downward thrust angle. In my experience, there was a whistle if I had her in a shallow dive (not as cool as the Mustang's whine, but still... pretty cool). I wonder if it's due to the screw holes in the pod? Not a huge fan of Wal-Mart; Hobby Lobby has these as well (and you can often find a 40% off coupon!). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhfhVvWUTmo
