10 Berlin Wall Segments - The Wall Project

thingiverse

John F. Kennedy, the 35th U.S. President, famously declared "Ich bin ein Berliner!" during a speech in Berlin in 1963, showing support for the people of West Berlin amidst the tensions of the Cold War. Today, there are 10 segments of the Berlin Wall, a potent symbol of that era, located outside Berlin. These sections were used during the years 1965 to 1975 and are made from materials like concrete, iron, quartz, and pigment, with each section measuring around 3.6 meters high, 1.2 meters wide, and 1.8 meters deep, weighing approximately 2,694 kilograms. The Wall Project captures and preserves these historical remnants for the public to see at the Wende Museum in Los Angeles, California.
