This is the detailed cutaway model of Propeller Governor (Constant Speed Unit) for Turboprop Engine. Several types of Propeller Governors exist, but this one showcases the simple Hydraulic Type. This model was specifically designed to make it easy to understand the basic Governor Function. A. Key Design Points Include: 1. A clear demonstration of Flyweight Function vs rotation speed. 2. The hydraulic passages (colored) show the relationship between Control Valve Position and Dummy Relief Valve and Feathering Valve are attached. 3. A Speed Control Lever, Rack and Pinion type is featured. 4. In future updates, a Rotation Tool by hand will be added. B. Assembly Manual: A comprehensive assembly manual in PDF format, spanning 10 pages, has been prepared. It includes detailed information on "Parts-List", "After printing treatment" and "Assembly procedure". The manual follows the standard skills required for assembly (Filing, Drilling, Tapping and painting). C. Download Files Include: STL files with 26 items are available for download. The STL file name starts with "ws," indicating it was designed with support. The assembly manual is provided in a zipped PDF format. D. Purchase Parts Information: To assemble the model smoothly, two Ball Bearing 6804 (20x32x7) are required. A spring with 1.8x35x20x5 turns is also needed. Screws of M2, M3 and M5 sizes will be necessary. For further details, refer to the Assembly Manual. E. Total Net Print Time: Approximately 48 hours are estimated for printing, assuming PLA material, a 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height, 40% infill and no raft or support. However, note that actual print time may vary based on individual printer settings and experience. F. 3D Printing Settings: Printing settings such as Raft, Support, Layer Height, Infill can be adjusted according to your experience with the model. The models were printed using "idbox" with a 0.4 nozzle and 1.75 PLA. I hope you find this project enjoyable to work on!
