Murphy the Library Cat is a British shorthair cat with a distinctive flair for style. He dons a dapper collar and tie, wearing his stylish spectacles - cats have poor close vision, after all, so he'd need those to read easily! Unlike other felines content to sit on a single piece of paper, Murphy prefers to lounge on a book. This particular book just happens to be a cleverly disguised secret box: its lid held firmly in place by powerful magnets. He also wears a pair of stylish spectacles printed in flexible filament and sports a crisp shirt collar and tie. Originally, Murphy was not commercially available, but I used him as a gift for friends and family only. However, when I took him to the Midwest Rep Rap Festival (MRRF), he proved incredibly popular with many requests to make him accessible to the public, so I decided to make that happen. Incidentally, his name comes from MRRF = Murphy. Murphy offers a choice of plain shirt collar and standard British school tie or fancy collar with bow tie. Due to their design, these collars and ties are not interchangeable. Murphy is available in both single-material and multi-material versions, ensuring nobody has to miss out. Fully assembled, he stands 250mm tall. The largest model in the Murphy assembly is his cat body, measuring 109mm in length, 138mm in width, and 160mm in height. Murphy is a multi-part 3D printed assembly available in both single and multi-extrusion versions (although the only parts that use multi-material extrusion are his head and the book pages). However, please note that some of these files require a printer capable of multi-material extrusion.
