Any questions not answered or further explanation is needed, please contact with the subject Complete FTC Robot. See this robot in action by searching "FTC Team 247 Reboot finals" on YouTube. This project is a full-size, competition-ready, FTC Robot that uses a unique building system to add or remove mechanisms without disassembling the whole robot. The robot also features a universal chassis that can be used for years across different FTC games. The robot design is clean, professional, and easy to organize wires, with self-threading holes that fit #6-32 screws. Unlike a typical cube robot, this one can be produced for just $100 using 2 spools of filament and hardware (excluding phones, motors, battery, and Rev Expansion hub). In the past season, this robot design was highly competitive among other FTC robots, earning 34 ranking points at the end of its season. The front half and riser platform are designed to mount different mechanisms, making it a direct drive system that's easy to drive and program. The total build time for this puzzle piece robot is about 1-3 hours, making it easy to build in 1-2 build meetings. However, small adjustments may be needed to mount certain mechanisms. The print time ranges from 15 minutes to about 2 hours, depending on the part size. This project is ideal for kids in grades 10-12 because it teaches them 3D printing, design, building, robotics, programming, and electrical work. Its main use is FTC Robotics, but it will also work well in an engineering class, offering value to Technology, Mathematics, and Engineering.
