Create your own Sugru substitute by using an airsoft BB or printing a mold and casting it in silicone. For the first method, start with an airsoft BB and mix it with some glue to create a moldable material. You can also print a custom mold using a 3D printer and then cast it in silicone. To make a Sugru substitute from scratch, follow these steps: First, prepare your materials by mixing together the airsoft BBs and a small amount of glue. The ratio is usually one part BB to two parts glue. Once you have your mixture, shape it into the desired form and let it dry completely. Alternatively, you can print a custom mold using a 3D printer. This method allows for more complex shapes and designs, but requires some technical expertise. To do this, design your mold in a computer-aided design (CAD) software and then print it out using a 3D printer. Once the print is complete, mix together equal parts of silicone and catalyst, and pour the mixture into the mold. Let the mixture cure for several hours or overnight, depending on the type of silicone you're using. Once it's fully cured, remove the Sugru substitute from the mold and voila! You now have your own custom-made Sugru substitute.
