Here is a unique design element used to attach a 1 inch OD pipe directly into the base of an eight by ten oval dome shape that commonly features in designs for skylights or oval picture frames. It contains one threaded hole that allows users to screw a bolt straight through the flanged joint formed between the base part and the surrounding oval dome section. To accommodate installation requirements, a second flat area can be easily located at the back of the base bracket where additional threading could take place.
