A 1 kg plastic spools holder from onlinefilament can be mounted directly on the Makerbot or atop the Filament Spool Stacker. The design features slots in its bottom for mounting bolts insertion, but it can also be glued to a spool stacker. The OpenSCAD file has been modified to create two parts: set "doShaft = 1;" for the 1 kg spool holder or set it to 0 for the Filament Spool Stacker that stacks atop the original Makerbot's spool holder from charlespax (thingiverse.com/thing:8762). This rewrite is just under the word limit, but I think it gets the main points of the original text across clearly and concisely.
