This is a stand that I built for a 1 inch crystal orb (but it will function with any 1 inch sphere). It features some stabilizers that also aid in adhesion to the platform. I included the .blend file for anyone who wants to modify it. Have fun. Print Settings Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: No Supports: Yes (includes supports in the .stl file) Resolution: 0.1 mm Infill: 20% Notes: The legs take care of support for disk platform by design, so no additional supports are required. How I Designed This Created by crafting a platform with vertical rectangles. Next, built a sphere and subtracted it from the rectangles to form the orb holder. The legs were constructed by starting with straight pillars and then adjusting one end while enabling proportional editing. This yields a smooth curve.
