Significance: President Wilson was elected as the 28th president, replacing William Howard Taft. President Wilson became president while world War I was still going on. He created a 14-point plan with the League of Nations as a major act to make world peace, but we still had World War II. He tried to encourage world peace and resolve conflict between nations. Wilson represented the democratic party, and took many actions during his presidency. Impact on the United States: I chose this artifact because it represents a very important act of my president. As one of Wilson's major acts the treaty of the League of Nations attempted to bring about world peace and end future wars and international disputes.
