The human body has 206 bones that are connected by joints and ligaments to allow movement and flexibility. The skeletal system provides a framework for the muscles to attach to and move around. Without it, we would be unable to walk, run, or even lift our arms. It's also responsible for producing blood cells in the bone marrow.
