A common problem with HP's Elitebook laptops, including the 2710p, 2730p and 2740p models, lies in their use of an unpopular microSATA 1.8'' hard drive standard that makes upgrading them more challenging than it needs to be. The best solution is to use an mSATA SSD paired with a low-cost Chinese mSATA-to-MicroSATA adapter, but unfortunately, there's no way to secure the drive+adapter assembly to the laptop's hard disk bay securely. This innovative "caddy bracket" solves that problem effectively. It's incredibly easy to print and requires very little plastic, making it an attractive option for those looking to upgrade their laptops. The design is cleverly crafted to go around the SSD and prevent any of its electronics from coming into contact with the laptop chassis' metal parts. For optimal results, I highly recommend printing at least two pieces (one in the front and one at the back as shown in the image) to ensure a secure fit.
