I designed this upgrade specifically for my HP Elitebook 2540p, planning to swap out the hard drive, a move made trickier by the lack of new 1.8" uSATA hard drives from the manufacturers themselves. This design fits perfectly onto my laptop using an adapter purchased on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XTHAH4K. Given the steep price of $24.99 for the Aleratec Adapter with its frame, I opted to create a custom holder for the adapter instead. The finished product features two distinct edge profiles. Slightly less aggressive and thus ideal for most users is the squared-edged design, while those who value style can opt for the more rounded look. Construction on PrintrBot Simple was quick, requiring just 56 minutes of printing time at 50% infill with a .2mm layer resolution.
