1/8" D Shaft Skirted Knob
thingiverse
I designed and built my own 1/8" D shaft skirted knobs since they are quite expensive. I added a pointer line to the design for better contrast using WhiteOut. A photo is included of the necessary nut and bolt to secure the knob onto the shaft. Tinkercad's limitations made it difficult to create this design, but with some patience, you can do it too. My model has more holes than solid parts, which was a challenge to overcome. I created two different versions of the design: one with the pointer facing flat and another with it pointing away from flat. This way, I could easily switch between them later if needed. You should print the version that suits your needs best. VERSION HISTORY: 18_d_shaft_skirted_knob.stl - The first version had a small error causing the screw shaft to remove material from the D shaft. Although it didn't affect its functionality, I corrected it when someone pointed it out. 8 D Shaft Skirted Knob.stl - The second version improved upon the previous one. 8 D Shaft Skirted Knob V3.stl - In this third version, I enlarged the set screw on the back and made some minor adjustments to make it easier to use.
