I was on the lookout for a simple filament fitting to use in my upcoming dry box project, but I came across ones that were too complicated for my taste. On top of that, I wanted to be able to prep the filament before using it. So I modified ppyromann's Threaded Filament Dust Filter, available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:153807, by attaching it to a custom base plate of mine. *UPDATE: I've uploaded separate files for your convenience after being asked to do so. Unfortunately, I made a mistake and saved them in inches. Once I have more time, I'll fix that error, but they're currently available online. Instructions It was designed to be printed without any supports whatsoever. The model shown here was created with 20% infill density, two shells, and a .30mm layer height in ABS plastic material. For this particular print job, I utilized a low resolution printing setting within Maker Ware software to achieve the desired results. However, after printing the initial prototype, it shrank slightly, which necessitated some modifications. I enlarged the holes for M3 bolts by carefully drilling through them once with a suitable drill bit. It fits perfectly into place now. Once my dry box project is complete, I'll be sharing images of it here.
