If you're in need of replacement shades for your 1.65" / 1.42 cm fitter pendant lamps, this particular shade is the perfect solution - and has been given a thumbs-up by my wife! The printing process took approximately 5 hours to complete, using 20 meters / 60 grams of filament. Important note: Before slicing, be sure to flip the model over. We have two pendant lamps hanging from our kitchen ceiling, but unfortunately, they broke - not for the first time. I decided to take precise measurements and see if I could print a replacement shade. The initial prototype utilized walls that were only 1 layer thick (0.8 mm in thickness, 0.6 mm tall) and was made of transparent PLA. However, the base proved to be too weak and broke when it was removed from the print bed. Additionally, the light diffusion was not satisfactory. The final version boasts a thicker base and was printed using 1 layer (0.4 mm thick, 0.2 mm tall) of white PLA. The result is a much more attractive globe-shaped shade that's filled with light and surprisingly durable - it can withstand being hit without shattering.
