1/43 Slot Car Tires from TPU
thingiverse
I fabricated these tires from TPU for replacements for some old Jeep 1/43 French mad slot cars. They work out pretty well, but a bit more rigid than rubber or silicone... Perfect for drifting. I had to use my hair dryer to heat them up to get them to fit on the rim. There's a center recess for the rim. They're about 5/8 O.D. 3/8 thick for the rear and 1/4 thick for the front. The I.D. is roughly 1/4 inch with the well inside about 1/8 deeper or bigger ID at around 1/16 to 3/16 wide (don't remember exactly). Print Settings Printer: ModT Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 Notes: I experimented with different infills and went with a 1.2mm wall and 0% infill. The others I tried were very stiff and hard to get on with 2mm wall and 10 to 75% infill. Post-Printing I've got extras now. How I Designed This I utilized the 3D builder that came with Windows 10
