1/400 Scale Curved Linear Airport Terminal Model

This project is my first publication for a scale model airport diorama. This particular airport terminal is completely custom-designed, and it is based on various airport architectural designs from around the world, including Concourse J at Miami International Airport, Terminal 1 at Kansai International Airport, and the terminal buildings at Dubai International Airport. This is a very sleek and modern terminal building that is extremely easy to print, and highly customizable in terms of gate/jetway location and length of the terminal. In this kit of STL files, you will find all of the pieces shown in the CAD pictures to print the terminal. You can move around the various Terminal Connectors and Jetway connectors to create your desired gate layout. You can have up to 16 narrow body aircraft, up to 8 wide body aircraft (including 4 A380s), or any combination of narrow and wide body aircraft. The Jetway connectors are designed around the JC Wings 1/400 scale jet bridges, but you may also use your preferred jetways by connecting them to the Terminal Connectors. The foundation of the terminal has space underneath for GSE vehicles to be displayed directly below the terminal. The middle of the terminal also has a wide gap to allow GSE vehicles to pass through the terminal, or go underneath the terminal as well. The STL models are sized to be at a 1/400 scale by default, but you can also print this model as a 1/500 scale terminal by scaling the models to 80% of the original size on your printer's slicer. This model is intended to be printed with no supports, or with very minimal supports only for the Terminal Connectors, Ground Service Access Stairs and the Jetway Connectors. However, I would highly recommend printing the curved roof pieces and the smaller pieces with a raft to improve print stability. Print at a 5% infill density to save filament.
