First and foremost, this was an excellent exercise in creating functional threads with correct tolerances using Fusion 360.

I found myself needing a tool holder for hand tapping ¼ holes on 3D printed parts. I knew I was going to need this when I ordered the tap, haha! This is a very basic design but I am very proud of it regardless. I am using a ¼-28 Tap I got from Amazon for about $4.

I printed on 0.16mm for the final print, but the drafts were at 0.22 and functioned fine. So if you're in a rush, send it. If you have the spare 2 hours for a nice slow print, also send it. It is worth it.

I have included the .step, so please tweak the design as you see fit and post your makes!

Does not need supports! You will need to orient the models in your slicer, however! Print the Body vertically like a tower with brim of 2.5mm+, the face perpendicular to the threads should be against the bed. Print the screw with Internal brim of 2mm and vertically, with the bolt face down on the bed. Print the clamping block however you see fit.

Consider remixing and changing the print orientation for a longer but stronger print and design. To be truly strong and reliable this needs to be printed with the layers oriented against the stresses used to turn the tap, currently with this speedy design the layers run along the stresses and could be prone to breakage under hard use.
