1/4" Nut Spinner
thingiverse
I didn't want to waste four of those bearings on a spinner. As I had some 1/4" hex nuts that didn't have the correct thread to fit a camera tripod, I thought I'd use them as weights, which meant I only needed to use one bearing. So I've modified swholmstead's design to take smaller hex nuts that don't poke all the way through the holder, and also cleaned up aubenc's knurling2 library to get rid of polyhedron(triangle) calls and assign() functions and some debugging/spacing issues. Note that to get the best spin, use two "locks" and put one on either side of the bearing as per the photo. Everything push-fits together really tightly!
