1/4" Latex Hose to Schrader Valve Stem adapter

I was eager to blow up a 1/4" latex tube with a bicycle pump to apply positive pressure inside a laminated paper tube as glue dried, ensuring it wouldn't delaminate during drying. My latex was approximately 12 years old and extremely brittle for the task, making it unsuitable. I believe the concept still holds promise but other methods exist that don't necessitate expensive latex tubes from hardware stores. I proceeded with attaching the hose to barbs using zip ties and wrapping threads with Teflon tape before tightening with wrenches.
