This adapter lets you use 1/4" lead screws on Prusa printers without modifying X-ends. It fits a standard SAE 1/4" nut into the 5/16" slot of typical Prusa X-end pieces. Employing 1/4" lead screws offers greater flexibility and higher Z precision compared to the standard 5/16" version. Simply press an SAE 1/4" nut into this adapter, and it's ready for use. This accessory, combined with a bottom support bearing (thing:19313) and a flexible motor shaft coupling (thing:29879), allows you to fully bear the weight of the X-axis at the printer's base without over-constraining the Z-axis, as opposed to the standard Prusa design. The STL file provided is parametric, with adjustable parameters for nut diameters and heights, adapter diameter and height, threaded rod diameter, a fudge factor, and layer height.
