1/4 Inch Bolt Knob Round

This conversion tool is similar to other projects I've worked on that require quick adjustments. It takes a standard 1/4 inch bolt and transforms it into a tool-free knob head. My goal was to make conversions as fast and convenient as possible, eliminating the need for tools whenever feasible. The knob makes this process significantly easier. This addition complements my existing line of 3/8 inch knobs, designed for quick mounting and dismounting without requiring tools. Simply pressing it onto a bolt head in a vice or press completes the process. I printed mine using PETG filament at 100% infill for added strength. To facilitate customization, I've included both (.sldprt) SolidWorks 2013 files and STEP files, allowing users to create their own versions with unique sizes and shapes. This project was created to meet my specific needs, but its versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of applications. For instance, I use it to secure a Dillon RL 550C bullet press to my workbench when needed, yet easily remove it to clear space for other tasks like using my vice. The same principle applies to the vice itself, which is secured with low-profile 3/8 inch bolt knobs into T-Nuts or nut inserts preset in my workbench surface.
