1:4 Gear Reducer
thingiverse
I made this gear reducer mostly just because I was bored one day but it actually turned into a pretty fun project so I ran with it. This is a 4:1 reducer with the input and output on the same axis and the rotational direction being the same way. When assembling it just make sure you put the handle on the small gear and the output shaft on the big gear otherwise it'll make it move the output faster. Which if you want to do that you 100% can and it will work but that is not what I designed it for. Also assembling it is a little complicated and may not be super clear at first but if you have any questions just post a comment and I'll see what I can do to help. I also added an access screw on top in case you want to add some oil for lubrication. It is not needed by any means but I thought it would be cool to do that and it should hold oil up to the bottom gear axle. The screws all fit a 1/4" drive ratchet. If you don't have one for whatever reason I posted the parts for one you can print and use, just check out my profile. I will also be posting additions to use this for in the future. I'm not sure what all they will be but my first one will be a conveyor belt design which I'm looking forward to messing with but after that I'm not sure. Come back every now and then to see what I can come up with and if you have any ideas post a comment.
