1/4 Drip Line Irrigation Quick Disconnects

<p>This is a set of couplers for 1/4 drip line irrigation systems. I needed a way to get my hanging baskets disconnected from my drip lines when storms approached or to change them out without removing the lines and stakes and destroying the plants. These are simple twist on - twist off couplers that connect to drip lines via hose barb.</p><p>There are two inlet models, OR4 and OR5. Choose the one that is right for your application - the only difference is the O-ring size and level of fit. You will need the appropriate O-rings to complete the assembly for water tightness.</p><p>OR4 is a 7/32" I.D. x 11/32" O.D. x 1/16" Section Rubber O-Ring (Papco number 304-004)</p><p>OR5 is a 1/4" I.D. x 3/8" O.D. x 1/16" Section Rubber O-Ring (Papco number 304-005)</p><p>I found the OR4 size to be an easier fit when mating the couplers together while still maintaining water tightness, so I personally use this one. OR5 provides a snug fit (almost too snug), so you may need to lubricate that O-ring before fitting the couplers.</p><p>I had initial problems with a weak spot at the base of the hose barb, so I shortened it and added material - however be aware that this is the weak spot and may be prone to snapping. If you have a better engineering solution, feel free to make this better!</p><p>Printed using PETG at 0.2 resolution with 100% infill. No skirt or brim required. Printer was an Anycubic Mega Pro at 80 Deg print bed and 230 Deg Nozzle using Eryone filament. Blob and string were minimal but there.&nbsp;</p><p>Post-processing:</p><p>After printing, simply snap the support base off of the inlet coupling (it should break right at the base / tip). After that, take down any strands of PETG, then run a small drill bit through the hose barb tips to make sure they are clean.</p><p>Slip the appropriate O-Ring into the groove, test fit, then attach into your drip system!</p>
