1/4" Bit Handle

1/4" Bit Handle

Update: added a V02 that has a round end, making it more comfortable for use. I needed to use an M3 tap to cut threads in some 3D printed parts. I ordered the bit, but found it awkward to use and designed this simple handle to make life easier. It's designed to accommodate any bit that has a 1/4" hex fitting. Printing: Pretty straightforward to print. I printed it with the bit end down on the bed and used a generous brim to make sure it didn't fall over during printing. No other support material is required. Also, doesn't need particularly heavy infill, unless you're really planning on wrenching hard! If you wanted to, you could glue a small round magnet in the recess to hold the bit, but so far, the friction fit is good enough for my purposes. Print Settings Printer Brand: Creality Printer: Ender 3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.12 Infill: 15 Filament: eSun PLA+ Black Notes: Strongly recommend a brim. Category: Hand Tools
