This adaptor allows you to connect a 1/4 inch OD tube used with Mur-lok and John Guest connections (like seen on RO Filters and Sulfur Reactors) to a submersible pump with a 1/2 inch opening. I used this for my Sulfur Reactor which requires low flow (1 to 15 gal/h) to create an anaerobic condition where the bacteria will consume oxygen off Nitrate (NO3). This saved me over $200 by allowing me to use an inexpensive pump from DOMICA (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08574XNHZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00) or its clones such as the PULACO (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SLKDW5J/ref=sspa_dk_detail_0).
