1/4-20 Threaded Rod 75mm Long!
thingiverse
I am currently working on several projects that require a 1/4-20 thread configuration, and programming this in Open-SCAD or creating in Tinkercad would be significant undertakings. Therefore, I utilized a customized version of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:193647 to produce an STL file which can now be imported and used for various projects. Note that the thread OD has been standardized at 6.35mm and TPI of 1.27 with a pitch of 45 to simplify printing. Please keep in mind that this will not be perfect, and you may need to chase it with a tap (see more here: https://amzn.to/2MFCIxu) or die (see more here: https://amzn.to/2S9UptZ) if used as a bolt/rod. You can also obtain a complete Tap/Die set (recommended) here: https://amzn.to/2TnqcoZ. Another thing to consider when printing is using 1 to 1.2mm walls, as you will need to cut into them with either the tap or die, so give yourself plenty of material to work with!
