1/35 Aliens Dropship

This is my 1/35th scale Aliens Dropship model. I have tried to incorporate many screen visible details as I could, even where they contradict one another or are physically impossible! Fully assembled it comes in at about 700mm long, up to 430mm wide (with wings unfolded), and around 260mm tall with gear and ramp deployed. She weighs about 2kg, and will take a total of about 200 hours to print. Though that’s based on the print speed of my printers, yours may vary a bit. The parts are designed to be printed on an FDM printer with a 200x200x200mm print volume. Resin parts are all small and will print on any resin printer. The ship has loads of empty space inside to run wires, and is designed to be lit. There are LED mounts for the headlights, in the roof of the APC bay, in the tail, and holes are provided into the cockpit control panels if you want to add some small LEDs or fibre optics. I have fully printed the model myself to ensure parts fit, its structurally sound, and just generally “works”. There are a number of small pistons in the landing gear and APC ramp, if you don’t have a resin printer (and even if you do), consider replacing them with brass or styrene rod, these will be much stronger than printed parts. This matches, and will fit my Aliens APC in it.
