This is a tool for testing the voltage on a slot car track or simply testing your controllers voltage. Often times after years of use, a tracks joints become dirty and the voltage delivered will weaken or perhaps you have need more power taps to the track. This housing coupled with a voltage meter found on Ebay (Mini 0.28"DC Digital Red LED Voltmeter Panel Mount Voltage Volt meter 2.5~30V US) and then just run the wires out the bottom to contact the track or solder on some braids. Obviously no batteries required. Also if your track is wired for common ground, you can place a jumper wire on the standard white and black terminals for full power to the track when testing without a controller.
