Create a helical antenna for 1.3 GHz frequencies by following these instructions carefully. Note that there have been corrections made; the base previously had an error, but this has been fixed. Additionally, both polarizations are now included. Supplies needed: Solid copper wire with or without sheath (depending on fit), a matching stub constructed according to this tutorial (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1377791), an antenna reflector (also found in the above link), 50 ohm coax wire, and four short M3 screws with nuts (alternatively, strong glue). Also, print one base and four modules per turn. Please remove the triangular support from the slot and clean up any residual material before assembling. Slide the modules into each other at a 90-degree angle; it may be necessary to use glue for more than three turns. Coil the wire around a round object, then insert it into the holders using a small dab of CA glue for secure placement. Attach the base to the reflector using M3 screws or strong glue. Pictures will follow shortly.
