This is a 1/2-inch NPT eared boat bilge drain plug designed to be tool-less and can serve as an emergency spare plug for your keys. It replaces standard style boat plugs like those found on Amazon at https://amzn.to/2EQmLlp. Print with a well-tuned printer using PLA with 60% or better infill, and orient the threaded side upwards. The printed part will float but may not do so effectively depending on keychain size and extruder settings. This plug uses common Key chain split rings available on Amazon at https://amzn.to/2JTT7zK. To increase visibility in dark environments, we recommend using glow-in-the-dark PLA found on Amazon at https://amzn.to/2HSZjpe. This makes it easier to find the plug if it's dropped into the water. Application includes ski boats, fishing boats, and other vessels that require a 1/2-inch NPT pipe plug. Use with caution as the risk of failure or malfunction is present when using this product.
