ModelCollecting 25years old CDs finally ended in a huge light :-) There are tons of InternetExplorer 2.0 and AOL CDs but also all color shades of blank CDs included. (gold, green, violet, black, … ) some of you might remember.As this light uses roughly 1800CDs it has quite some weight (27kg CDs) ! So i used a massiv stand with 50% infill. And it definetly needed a variable fix on the ceiling. In the basement is plenty of space for a 5V powersupply and an ESP8266 flashed with WLED. Hardware needed: ESP8266 WEMOS d1Mini or ESP325V Powersupplyroughly 4m WS8212B addressable LED. I used 60LED/m 144 might be better2m acrylic pipe 15mm diameter 2mm wall (this is hard to find)switch (https://de.aliexpress.com/item/4000452193724.html) Setup:Super simple standard WLED setup. D4 as dataIts quite hard to push / pull 2 LED strips trough the acrylic pipe, i used a bit of silicon spray and a thin line/rope.Both LED strips are clued together with the self-adhesive side
