1.25" Hex Tile Frame - Demo

While building a Battletech board using hex-based terrain, I couldn't find a good way of keeping the tiles solidly together without sliding around. I tried some other printable frames but didn't like the tolerances - and the frames moved around themselves as well (not sure how that helps in keeping the board together...!).Instead I've designed my own, with much tighter connections, less edging (you could lay multiple boards side by side), and a whole puzzle piece board that fits together to prevent the frame itself from moving around. It is designed to be compatible with Battletech mapsheet sizing, working for either a single or double sheet size easily. Due to the modular nature you can create larger or smaller boards, and of course it can be used for any hex system outside of Battletech (it is for 1.25" hexes, 2.5mm high/33mm flat edge to flat edge, but you could scale according to your needs). Works well with Hextech terrain. This is a set of the four board corners so that you can test it out, including making sure the tolerances work for your printer/tiles.You can find the full (paid) set here:https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/1-25-hex-tile-frame-full-set
