DISCLAIMER - Feel free to print and share. But please, I don't wanna see this produced and putted on eBay or alike. Thanks! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Welcome to Johnny's Workshop! You are looking at a 3D printed conversion kit designed for a 1/24 FUJIMI - Ford GT40 - 1968 Le Mans kit! The MOTOR-MOUNT layout was designed to free loads of space and this will help you using most of the kit's interior. It's able to accommodate a 'Slot-it Flat-6' motor, the gear ratio is: '11T pinion' x '36T 18 mm diameter' also made by 'Slot-it'. (Will test with easier gear in the future) I've used a 'stopper' but you can also use a long sleeve to hold the rear axle in place. The BRACKETS are intended to be glue inside the kit's body, it's very easy to perform once chassis assembled (picture), this will help you lineup everything correctly. Setup upright in slicer and at 70% speed as it is the trickier part to print! The CHASSIS was designed to fit this kit only! (this is NOT a universal kit) and the guide holder is '4 mm diameter and 5 mm tall'. Chassis can also accommodate M2 grub-screws to regulate front axle (I've used x2 bottom 8 mm and 2x top 3 mm) ---- In case you wish to print the wheels and use kit's original tyres ---- The WHEELS are a 'push-fit' design (not great, but not too bad!). will also allow you to use the original tyres. Please, bear in mind: Tyres will require sanding down a bit (with a 'tyre truer') as they are a little bit too big and will greatly improve the contact patch. NOTE- Tolerances are pretty tight! You will probably need tools such as reamers, drill-bits etc... (Hobbyists will generally have all these tools anyway). The extra bits you will need: - The GT40 kit (of course along with paints, tools, brushes etc..) - 2.38 x 60 mm and 2.38 x 58 mm axles (you could try with 3 mm diameter axle) - 11T motor pinion - 36T angle-winder gear - Flat-6 motor - Slot guide (I've used a Scaleauto) - Axle stopper or sleeve - Wiring, Braids.. Fixings: - x7 flat-top 5 mm long thread or so (the normal stuff for slot cars) - x2 counter-sunk 7 mm long thread (motor holder piece) - x2 M2 x 3, and 8 mm grub-screws (x4 in total) - x2 M2 x 5 mm screws
