1/2" Nut Fidget Spinners
thingiverse
Another iteration of the fidget spinner emerges, fueled by friends' requests and dwindling supplies of 608 bearings. I was running low on these essential components, so I opted to design my own version featuring heavy zinc-plated 1/2"-13 nuts as counterweights. Three versions are available: each equipped with a standard 608 skate bearing and paired with 3x, 4x, or 5x nuts. The choice of nut size is reflected in the spinner's name (e.g., 3x, 4x, or 5x). To assemble these spinners, you will need: * 1x Spinner body (available in 3x, 4x, or 5x configurations) * 2x Grips * 1x Assembly jig Note that the 1/2" nuts I utilized measure 11.2mm tall, while the spinner body stands at 7mm high, matching the height of the 608 bearing. This leaves a 4.2mm gap, which is effectively bridged by the assembly jig – a tool used to accurately center the nut within the spinner's housing.
