1/2" Clamping Knob
thingiverse
A Simple Clamping Mechanism for Adjustable Capacitors. To secure my 1/2 inch shaft magloop variable capacitor, I employ a basic clamping knob design. A 10-24 bolt and nylock nut are used to firmly tighten the clamping mechanism onto the 1/2 inch shaft. This versatile setup can be adapted for use with any 1/2 inch shaft, or even smaller sizes, by remixing the design or creating a custom collar that suits your specific needs. Scaling up the design might also be an option, although it may complicate the process of using a bolt due to increased size and material requirements. I've shared this idea for others to use and benefit from its simplicity and versatility.
