1-2-3 Truncated Octahedrons

If you connect two or three truncated octahedrons along their faces, you'll get either two distinct pieces or six different pieces, respectively. When combined with the single truncated octahedron, a total of 1x1+2x2+6x3=23 units are formed, more than enough to create a box with three X-layers measuring 5 and two square layers measuring 4 in between.
