1/1400 Scale Excelsior Class Starship

One of my top picks, the Excelsior class in 1/1400 Scale. The original model was uploaded by nd4spd1919, a skilled creator. This impressive model consists of nine distinct pieces that require careful printing. The Top Saucer is the most time-consuming piece to print, taking approximately 10 hours and 30 minutes. It's essential to be patient during this process. In contrast, the Bottom Saucer requires only 7 hours to print. The Neck is relatively quick to print, with a completion time of just 5 hours. However, the SecHull_Bot and SecHull_Top pieces take longer, requiring around 9 hours and 30 minutes to finish printing. The Nacelles are another critical component, but they're slightly faster to print, taking approximately 7 hours and 30 minutes. It's worth noting that each Nacelle_Top model needs to be printed twice to achieve the desired result. Print Settings: Printer: Anet A8 Resolution: .1 Infill: 15% Layer Height: .1 To ensure optimal results, it's crucial to pay attention to the print settings. The recommended infill percentage is 15%, and a layer height of .1 provides excellent detail. Tips and Notes: Be cautious when printing the Top Saucer model, as you may need to make adjustments to get the desired outcome. I encountered an issue with this piece where the top portion of the bridge didn't print correctly, leaving the details elevated. To resolve this problem, I inverted the piece in Meshmixer. I'm currently working on updating the Nacelles, as some of the grille detail on the engines got lost during printing. Additionally, the Bottom Saucer section is relatively thin, so it's recommended to wait until the print bed has cooled down completely before removing it.
