1/12 Scale Concert Grand Piano

First off, let me just say thank you to Icefox1983 and Larrym95, who are two awesome modelers, and I love the work they've done on this piano thus far. However, after printing out Icefox1983's version, I found that I wanted to make some customizations that made the piano look more realistic and proportionately accurate to fit more with what I was originally looking for and thought I would share my changes with you. I had been searching far and wide for a decent 1/12 scale piano for diorama and photography purposes when I happened across Icefox1983's Grand piano with moving parts, which itself was a remix of Larrym95's original model Steinway grand piano. Both piano versions are closer to 1/9 scale but I needed something a bit smaller to fit in with other 1/12 scale instruments I had previously acquired. Some of the changes I had made are as follows:

Reduced the height of the case of the piano, white keys, and keys frame (from the bottom up) to give it a slimmer profile.

Reduced the thickness of both bases (excluding the pedal lyre posts on the front base) for the same reason as above.

Rebuilt the keys frame and pedal base (both models had artifacts and needed their normals recalculated).

Edited the fallboard to fit over the keys better.

Shortened the original legs and created alternative versions (1 with a smaller top area, 1 more modern style).

Edited the casters for the original and V1 legs (one non functioning version and one as separated pieces to be assembled). If you want the original print in place wheels, please download them from one of the previous modelers

Created casters for the V2 leg (one non functioning version and one as separated pieces to be assembled). I did not make a print in place version of this caster, but I can if anyone really wants it

Added rods for the foot pedals. You can also cut and use brass rods at 1mm diameter or below and at 46mm long.

Created a new single and duet bench .

Edited the front and rear plate pieces to look more accurate.

Created a new, detailed, single-piece plate

Added some space under certain areas on the plate struts in case anyone (other than me) is crazy enough to try adding strings.

Added a small block to anchor the left side of struts to the soundboard.

If you couldn't tell from the files, I am a person that likes options, so in this package you have the option to choose different styles of legs based on your preference and also a single and/or duet piano bench. Additionally, you have the choice to print some parts either as one piece or as individual pieces. These parts are the lid prop and both versions of the casters. Finally, I included the original pieces listed as 'old' so you wouldn't have to download them from the other sources. This is a work in progress that I am continuing to work on to make more improvements in terms of the details, especially on the inside area, and I will update models as I commit those changes. White piano keys should obviously be printed in white. Soundboard parts should be printed in wood color. Plate pieces, casters, pedals, and pedal rods should be printed in bronze or copper color. Antique gold is also recommended. The rest of the parts can be printed in black or whatever color you'd like. I will likely end up making an assembly video in the future but you may also look that the previous versions for their instructions or use the full piano model for reference. Also, whenever I've completed the current prints of this model that I am working on, I will add additional photos. If you have any questions, comments, issues, etc., please feel free to let me know. Best of luck to you.
