1/12 Imperial Lasgun, Kantrael Pattern
myminifactory
One of the most prolific type of small arm employed by the Imperium of Man. Lasgun operates by expelling high-density, focused photons that disintegrate unprotected surface it made contact with. The Kantrael made lasgun first appeared in the 36th millenium and was chosen by the Cadian worlds as their service rifle due to its ruggedness and ease of manufacture. As many imperial regiments and defence forces copied the Cadian TO&E, the Kantrael-pattern finds itself used in every corner of the Imperium. There are 17 parts that can be used to create three known variant of the Kantrael lasgun. MGIa is the slightly improved basic model that is currently in use as standard armament of infantry, though it is slowly being replaced by newer model after the fall of Cadia. The MGIV was an experiment to make an ultra compact carbine, but received mixed result due to its low firepower (and not-so-great folding stock design). MGXII is a variant that employs improved focusing array and better air-cooling design to increase its lethality even when using standard-issue magazine, let alone a higher output one. Based mostly on 3rd edition miniatures and Darktide video game. This 3D model is designed with the assumption that lasgun has similar length to cold war era battle rifles. For use in miniature kitbash, scale the full model either to 46% or 22% for heroic and realistic scale respectively, trimming either the grip or stock might be required. For 1/18 scale action figure (JoyToy etc) scale it to 66%. For use in cosplay or full-size display scale it up by 1200%, but you'll need to separate and hollow the model by yourself. No glue are required for assembly but is still recommended, especially for mounting the reflex sight. Changelog : 01/03/24 - Added full one-piece models with magazine attached, removed finger guard on the vertical grip
