1:12 Buggy Rear Drive Shaft
thingiverse
This is a robust temporary rear drive shaft for a 1:12 scale off-road buggy. I needed to keep driving my car while I was waiting for new drive shafts to arrive in the mail after breaking the old ones on my vehicle, so I came up with these custom-made replacements. After numerous trial and error prints, I have finally settled on what I believe is the optimal design for this temporary fix. To achieve the best results, print at 0.1mm layer thickness and use 100% infill to maximize strength. Important Safety Notice: If your car produces excessive torque at the rear wheels, exercise caution by slowing down gradually, accelerating smoothly, and waiting until the vehicle has come to a complete stop before reversing gear. **Recommended Print Settings:** Rafts are not essential, so you can disregard this setting. Supports should be enabled to ensure a sturdy print. Resolution: Use a layer thickness of 0.1mm for optimal results. Infill should be set at 100% to maximize structural integrity.
