Experimental archaeologist Caroline Jeffra crafts a pot using the traditional wheel-throwing technique, capturing its intricate details with precision. Archaeologist Kelly Papastergiou uses the DAVID SLS-3 structured light scanner to create a 3D scan of the pot, resulting in a highly detailed model. The native DAVID-camera records the texture of the pot, allowing for an accurate representation of its surface. With a vertex spacing of 0.034mm, the original fusion resolution is remarkably high, producing an OBJ file that weighs in at 0.99GB and boasts an impressive 6855145 vertices. To make it more shareable online, the file was condensed to 628450 vertices, reducing its size to a manageable 179MB.
