A massive farm-style trailer boasts a sturdy checker plate toolbox and loading ramp, complete with servo-operated functionality if desired. The trailer's wood effect panels add to its rugged charm. In addition to the printed parts shown here, you'll need some 25mm aluminum angle, a suitable piece of 8mm plywood or MDF, lengths of 5mm steel rod for the axles (preferably), four regular or wide 1/10th scale RC car wheels and tires, and assorted screws. This is an enormous trailer - similar to those used for transporting heavy equipment in farming scenarios. Measuring over 60cm long and 35cm wide, it's also quite heavy, so if you only plan to tow another 1/10th scale car around, you might want to consider something smaller and lighter. Build Tips: You'll want to print two of each (a left and right-hand version) of these files: Axle Mount.stl, Trailer Mudguard.stl, and four of your choice of 22 or 27mm wheel spacers, depending on the width of your chosen wheels. The "Blank Numberplate.stl," "Pushrod Links.stl," and "Pushrod Steady.stl" files are essential for getting the tailgate working with a servo. The push rod can be fed through supports underneath the chassis to prevent it from flexing too much. You'll also need the "Wood Base.stl," which is included for completeness' sake, but you should not print it. Likewise, "Side Aluminium.stl" and "Front Aluminium.stl" have been included merely as an indication of how to cut aluminum frame pieces. If you have a welder, you may prefer to use that and make your joints differently. Printed in no-name PLA with a 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height, 0.8mm line width, and 50% infill for enhanced durability.
