1:100 M2HB .50 cal machinegun, vehicle mount (Flames of War)

A one-of-a-kind M2HB machine gun for use with general 1:100/Flames of War-scale models, created by modifying m_bergman's M5A1 halftrack design to add more detail and increase its size slightly, making it a close match for the official FoW .50 cal model. The attached photos show this gun attached to his M4A3E8 "Easy Eight" Sherman model(s), but it will work just as well with any other turret or attachment. The "v1" version is slightly smaller than the "v2," and has some minor model differences. Depending on your printer and skill level, you may find that the v1 prints better and looks nicer than the v2; however, this can vary depending on individual circumstances. Printing Information Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Notes: These models print well at a variety of settings. The ones in my photos were printed with 0.15mm layer height and 0.3mm width (using a 0.4mm nozzle with line width reduced to 0.3mm), but you can also get good results with 0.2mm height/0.4mm width. Experiment with different print settings, such as the number of perimeters and infill. A raft and supports are highly recommended, if not absolutely necessary. I included a photo of the raft/support setup that I used - as you can see, it's probably three times more material than the actual models (which I usually print six or more at a time), but it keeps them looking great in the end.
